I
first became interested in photography in 1970, when I was a teenager with a Polaroid
black and white camera I got for Christmas in 1969. I began photographing family vacations
until that interest grew substantially, in 1984, with the purchase of my first Canon 35mm
SLR camera. I experimented for several years. I read and learned all I could about
landscape and nature photography. By the late 1990's, this had led to hiking and
backpacking to the best photo opportunities that the mountainous regions had to offer.
My goal is to share this beauty with those who have not experienced what Mother Nature has
to offer. I try to capture this with my photography with the hopes of giving others the
sense of being there.
